Green Energy Option Program

Match your consumption with renewable energy and reduce your facility’s emissions footprint.

What it is

The Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) lets end-users with sufficient consumption opt to source their electricity from renewable generators. Under GEOP, the supply contract is specifically backed by accredited renewable energy generation, supported by certificates or direct contracting with renewable plants.

How sourcing works

Rockport Power contracts with accredited solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, and biomass generators and matches accredited output to the customer’s consumption. Where direct generator-to-customer contracting is operationally complex, we use Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) as an instrument to evidence the renewable match.

Reporting

GEOP customers receive a periodic statement summarising their renewable-matched consumption and any associated certificates, suitable for inclusion in sustainability disclosures or supply-chain emissions reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Who qualifies for GEOP?

End-users with average peak demand of at least 100 kW — or as otherwise defined by the Energy Regulatory Commission — may enrol in the Green Energy Option Program and source their electricity from accredited renewable suppliers. Rockport Power confirms your eligibility and handles the GEOP enrollment.

What is the Green Energy Option Program?

GEOP is a Philippine program that lets qualified end-users source their electricity specifically from renewable generation. The supply contract is backed by accredited renewable plants — solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, or biomass — supported by certificates or direct contracting, and Rockport Power structures and manages that renewable match.

How does renewable matching work?

Rockport Power contracts with accredited renewable generators and matches their accredited output to your consumption. Where direct generator-to-customer contracting is operationally complex, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) evidence the renewable match, so your supply remains demonstrably backed by clean generation throughout the contract.

Can GEOP support sustainability reporting?

Yes. GEOP customers receive periodic statements summarising renewable-matched consumption and any associated certificates, suitable for sustainability disclosures and supply-chain emissions reporting. Rockport Power issues these statements as part of the standard GEOP arrangement, giving auditors verifiable evidence behind your renewable-energy claims.

Does GEOP cost more than regular supply?

Pricing depends on the renewable portfolio, contract term, and your load profile, so it is quoted case by case rather than at a standard premium. Rockport Power prepares a GEOP proposal from your twelve months of consumption data so you can compare it directly against alternatives.
