Apply to switch electricity supplier.
Everything you need to submit an application — required documents, eligibility, and the timeline from submission to retail supply start. We handle the RCOA paperwork end to end.
Required documents
Switching under the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) framework is document-light. To process your application we need:
- Billing statements — your latest 12 months of electricity billing statements, or interval consumption data if available.
- Business registration — business permit and corporate registration documents for the contracting entity.
- Authorized representative ID — valid identification for the signatory executing the supply contract and Customer Choice Notice.
How long it takes
Once we receive complete documents, we validate contestability with your distribution utility and return a concrete proposal — typically within 5–7 business days. The switch itself then follows the standard RCOA process: roughly 30–60 days for existing contestable customers, and 90–180 days for first-time switches that involve metering upgrades and enrollment.
Power is never interrupted during a switch — your distribution utility keeps delivering electricity over the same network throughout the transition.
